The PHC playing ethos is defined by the combination of the following enablers:
Developing the PHC Brand
- A brand of hockey that is easily recognisable both to PHC members irrespective of the team they play in, and to other clubs - built on intensity, flair and heart.
Maintaining the Conveyor Belt
- Ensure there is a continuous stream of young, talented players progressing through the club at all times.
Reinforcing the PHC Family
- Establish strong bonds between every member in the club, with a vibrant social scene.
PHC coaching and training embraces a philosophy of balancing the three aspects of fitness, core skills and game based sessions.
A key theme in the PHC hockey strategy is the development of talent from within the club, encouraging those who have aspirations to play for the higher teams and, over time, to create genuine competition for places.
Next Goal Wins have been appointed as kit supplier going forward, on the basis they are a local supplier and offer competitive prices for both individual items and for full kits.

Junior Hockey
Preston Hockey club Juniors are a vibrant and proactive section of Preston Hockey Club. The Juniors are led by Sharron Bolton our Junior Head Coach and supported by Lana Palmer Davies, Support Coach.
They are assisted by a team of experienced volunteer coaches who all hold current DBS certification, EHB qualifications and receive regular training in First Aid and Safeguarding. Many of the coaches are also experienced players who currently play in, or coach, our senior teams.
We recognise the value of learning through gameplay and have seen great progress from our juniors using this policy.
Presently, our juniors are entered into the: England Hockey In2Hockey age group tournaments; England Hockey Championships; Lancashire Central Juniors; Cheshire League Junior Hockey.
